French Red Clay comes from Hematite Iron, its red coloring is the result of the copper oxides contained in this rock. Rich in kaolinite, illite, montmorillonitea and calcite, French Red Clay is best suited for normal to oily skin types.

How to Use French Red Clay (A basic face mask) Instructions:
Place 2 tbsp. French Red clay into a bowl.
Pour 1/2 cup warm water into the bowl and mix the clay until it begins to form a paste. You may need to add a little more water if the mixture is too thick. You should be able to spread it easily onto your skin.
Moisten your face with warm water and pat dry with a towel.
Spread the clay onto your skin with your finger tips so its evenly distributed. Be careful not to get it into your eyes.
Let the clay sit for 10 to 15 minutes. As it dries, it will start to feel a little tight on your skin. You don't have to let it dry completely; 15 minutes should do.
Rinse the clay completely off your face with warm water.
CAUTION:
Any masks made from scratch or using certain formulas should always be first tried using a "patch" test to see if it suits the skin. ((For a Patch test: dab a small amount of the clay mask behind your ear / your inner elbow/wrist area and leave it to dry))
Some Powders may be absorbed by the pores and result in staining of the skin. Always follow up with coconut oil massage to remove any staining. It May also stain cloth so be aware and take appropriate measurements.
Keep the product away from water contamination as it is all-natural and does not have any added preservatives.
Store it in an airtight container and avoid exposing it to sunlight. Preferably store it in a cool, shaded space.
